KVIB Ganderbal organizes one-day awareness camp at Safapora

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 17: Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Ganderbal today conducted a one-day awareness camp at the Block Development Office (BDO) Safapora to educate and inform artisans and unemployed youth about various self-employment opportunities under the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) and Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

The camp was presided over by the Deputy CEO, J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board, Kashmir Division, Srinagar. Addressing the artisans and unemployed youth, he emphasized the importance of these schemes in fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

The event witnessed participation from prominent officials, including District Development Council (DDC) Member Safapora, Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Naib Tehsildar Safapora, and the District Officer, KVIB.

Representatives from the BDO Office Safapora also attended, along with local artisans and unemployed youth eager to explore the benefits of these government initiatives.

During the camp, detailed information about the procedures, benefits, and eligibility criteria for availing financial assistance under JKREGP and PMEGP was shared. Attendees were encouraged to utilize these schemes for setting up small-scale businesses and generating employment opportunities within the district.
