Srinagar – Students from Chinar Yuva Centre, Nutnussa, achieved a remarkable milestone by winning bronze medals in the 40 kg and 35 kg weight categories at the 6th Jammu & Kashmir UT Karate Championships 2024. Maria Naseer and Sobiya Nazir demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, securing their place on the winners’ podium.The championship, held at the Indoor Stadium, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, brought immense pride not only to their families but also to the entire Kupwara district. Their achievement is a testament to the talent, resilience, and dedication of the youth from the Kupwara Valley.In a heartfelt statement, the families expressed their gratitude, saying:”We are deeply thankful for this achievement and extend our immense gratitude to the Indian Army, Kafila Foundation (J&K), and their instructor, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, for recognizing the girls’ talent and providing them with a platform to participate in state-level competitions.
