Leopard Attack Leaves 4-Year-Old Girl in Critical Condition

Handwara, Sep 9, KNT: A devastating incident occurred in the Khudi Mawer area of Handwara on Sunday evening, where a 4-year-old girl was brutally mauled by a wild leopard inside her home.

According to officials, the minor girl, identified as Adeeba Jan, daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Khan, was attacked by the wild animal, resulting in severe injuries. She was immediately rushed to the District Hospital Handwara for medical treatment, but due to the grievous nature of her injuries, she was referred to SKIMS Soura in Srinagar for specialized treatment.

Hospital sources told KNT that Adeeba’s condition is critical.

An investigation into the incident has been initiated, and wildlife authorities are working to ensure the safety of the local residents. (KNT)
