Security Forces Expand Search Operation from Kathua to Rajouri

Srinagar, Apr 02: In a continuation of the ongoing anti-militancy operation in Kathua, security forces on Wednesday extended their search efforts to the adjoining Rajouri district.

Officials told Media that security forces have launched an extensive search operation in the Siya Badrai area of Sunderbani in Rajouri district.

“Personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and the Indian Army are conducting thorough searches, including combing forested areas and inspecting vacant houses belonging to nomadic residents,” the officials said.

Notably, Siya Badrai shares a border with Reasi district, where militants had attacked a bus returning from Shiv Khori in June 2024.
