Police Post Nehru Market arrest two drug peddlers, 30 grams of Heroin like substance (Chitta) recovered

Jammu, January 19: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Post Nehru Market under Operation Sanjeevani seized 30.92 grams of heroin like substance and arrested two individuals during a naka at Warehouse. The operation was part of intensified efforts to curb the menace of narcotics in the region.During patrolling, a police team stopped an Alto car (JK18B-4096) and conducted a thorough search, leading to the recovery of the contraband. The vehicle was driven by Adil Gull, son of Gull Mohammad, accompanied by Rayees, son of Gh. Nabi Wagay, both residents of Ashijipora, Anantnag. The accused were apprehended on the spot.A case has been registered under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway. In-charge Nehru Market PSI Ajesh Jamwal, is leading the probe to uncover potential links and the source of the narcotics.The recoveries were made under the close supervision of SHO PS Gandhinagar, Insp. Arun SharmaJammu Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug-related crimes and urges citizens to report any suspicious activities, contributing to the collective fight against the drug menace.
