Police Seizes Two Vehicles Linked to Drug Trade in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 5(TKD): In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, Srinagar Police seized two vehicles allegedly purchased using proceeds from illegal narcotics trade.

The seized vehicles include a Corolla (registration number DL4CNE-6086) and a BMW (registration number JK01AF-0047). These vehicles were linked to case FIR No. 36/2024 under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Chanapora. The accused, identified as Mudasir Ahmad Wani, son of Gulam Rasool Wani, a resident of Stadium Colony, Chanapora, was reportedly involved in narcotics trafficking.

The vehicles were confiscated under the provisions of Section 68 of the NDPS Act, which empowers authorities to seize assets acquired through illicit drug-related activities.

The J&K Police has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating the drug menace and dismantling networks that facilitate narcotics trafficking, urging citizens to support their efforts in creating a drug-free society.

Further investigations are underway.
