
Security Briefing Held for Amarnath Yatra Teams by ADGP Law and Order and Officials
Srinagar, Jun 24 : Ahead of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra scheduled to begin on June 29, ADGP Law and Order-cum-Commandant General SDRF Vijay Kumar, along with IGP Kashmir VK Birdi and other top officials, conducted a comprehensive briefing session for joint MRT (Mobile Response Teams) teams comprising J&K police, SDRF, BSF, and CRPF.
According to an official from Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the senior officers inspected equipment and provided detailed instructions to the teams in preparation for the annual pilgrimage. The briefing session also included DIG south Kashmir, DIG Armed, Commanding Officer NDRF, and Commanding Officer SDRF.
A total of 13 teams from J&K police, 11 from SDRF, 8 from NDRF, 4 from BSF, and 2 from CRPF were briefed by the officials and deployed along the Yatra routes for enhanced security measures.
The Amarnath Yatra, a significant religious pilgrimage, is scheduled to span from June 29 to August 29 this year, attracting thousands of devotees annually to the sacred Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir.
