Old Grenade Recovered In Poonch

Jammu, July 18(GNS): An old grenade was recovered on Thursday in Poonch district.

Officials told GNS that an old grenade was found on the rooftop of residential quarter of district hospital this evening.

CMO Poonch Dr Zulfikar Chaudhary told GNS that some children noticed old grenade while they were playing on the roof of residential quarter. Information was soon communicated with the police through security guard of the quarter.

Hence, a major tragedy was averted by timingly information provided to the police, he said.

Soon a team of Police rushed to the spot and took the possession of grenade with utmost safety.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation have been takenup.
