The Shift in tactics and strategy as far as terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir goes! In rural and urban areas the terror activities have lessened to a major extent but the terrorists are using forests as a mainstay of their new tactics! The details of the same are given in the script

-This topic on which we are going to write we wrote four years ago also!

-With Kashmir under control with the efforts of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the paramilitary forces, things are under control but suddenly the eruption has taken place in Jammu!

-This is all happening because Pakistan is still sponsoring terrorism, our people, our officers and our Jawans are getting martyred! The terror mongers were first very active in the Kashmir zone where they have been adequately taken care of but the shift now is towards the Jammu region and we have due reasons to say so and they go as follows!

-On 20th April 2023 terrorists carried out an attack in Poonch!

-on 21 December 2023 again an attack was carried out in Poonch!

-On 8th May 2024 another attack happened in Poonch!

-On 9th June, 2024 was the target zone!

-Then the scene shifted to Doda on 26 June, 2024!

-On 7th July 2024 the place selected for a hit by the terrorists was Rajauri!

-We did say in the very beginning that the men with Kalashnikovs have shifted their strategy and tactics too!

-Militants have been making concerted efforts from the last few years to shift their sphere of influence and activities beyond Kashmir to the Jammu region.

-At least 65 persons, including 36 security men and 19 civilians have been killed in militant attacks and encounters in the Jammu region in the last two and a half years.

-The four militant attacks including an attack on a pilgrim bus within a span of four days in the Jammu region in the recent past is not a new phenomenon.

-The militants have been making concerted effort to shift militancy beyond Kashmir and increase their sphere of influence in the Jammu region comprising 10 districts.

-They have carried out a series of attacks on security forces, especially the army in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. After carrying out the attacks and causing casualties among the security force personnel, the militants take refuge in the dense forest areas.

-The dense forest areas of twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch have emerged as a new spot of militancy in J&K. The militants are using treacherous mountains and forests to hide themselves and their weapons. They are using the natural caves in the forest areas as their safe hide-outs and plan their attacks from these supposed safe havens.

-According to statistics, 36 security men, mostly army men, have been killed in militant attacks in the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri. Among the dead also include an IAF corporal and Village Defence Guard (VDG) member

We will further add that this was simply intolerable and Pakistan needed a strong reply because it paramount to several things!

-The attacks mean that the men with the guns are still functional and terror camps are running in Pakistan!

Though security forces are doing a spectacular job yet the facts yet the fact is activities of terror are flowing in and it is Pakistan who is doing the damage!

‘These mountainous passes have blind curves which give terrorists an advantage as trucks slow down, a pattern witnessed in the Reasi bus attack which left 9 pilgrims dead on June 9 this year followed by a similar attack on the Indian Air Force truck in Poonch on May 4, leaving an IAF personnel dead while four were injured’.

The security forces haven’t shied away from accepting infiltrations that have taken place in the Jammu region while claiming the number of foreign terrorists was 30-40 who are highly trained and armed to the teeth.

-What the Security Forces are saying

“There are foreign terrorists who have managed to infiltrate and all of us in the security establishment have more or less agreed to it, we are aware of it and we haven’t shied away from it,” DGP J&K RR Swain told media in Jammu earlier this month.

In a month, five terror attacks have taken place in four districts of Jammu – Reasi, Doda, Kathua, and Rajouri. The police recently regularised nine Special police officers (SPOs) each in Kathua and Doda as constables for carrying out successful encounters by eliminating five terrorists in these areas.’

Terrorists are trying to destabilize the Jammu region and it is up tto the central Government too look into the same!
