The Chief Of The Army Staff, General Dwivedi organized a colorful programme at Army House to encourage the military athletes in the Paralympics and felicitated all the civilian and military athletes who performed brilliantly in the Paralympics who have successfully been tried to play its key role in bringing it to the heights of heaven to India. This soldiers athletes of Indian Army is being appreciated all over the country. The Indian Army Chief Of Staff, Gen Upendra Dwivedi has praised all the Indian sportspersons in the organized Paralympic Games in Paris and praised their sportsmanship as well as their spirit, courage and vission. The Chief Of Staff of Indian Army appreciated the Indian Army and has saluted them especially for participating in the Paris Paralympic Games and hoisting the Indian flag and winning medals for their beloved country and said that the Indian Army needs a field. Whether that field is a game or a war, they return after succeeding in both. He said that in keeping with the indomitable spirit of Paralympian, the Indian Army took a pioneering step in 2017 by establishing the Army Paralympic Node. This broader objective of nation-building through spots, recognizing the critical role that athletic excellence plays in inspiring resilience and unity. Indian Army Athletes have acquitted themselves admirably in various national and international sports competitions. The medal tally of 07 Medals at 4th Asian Para Games stands testimony ,not only to the spirit of these especially abled soldiers but also of the Indian Army’s commitment in providing them opportunities to excel. He interacted with Indian Army Paralympic athlete at the Army House. The felicitated athletes include: Subedar K Narayana (Rowing) Subedar Soman Rana (Shotput) ,Naib Subedar Hokato Sema (Shotput), who clinched a bronze medal Naib Subedar Amir Ahmed Bhat (Shooting), additionally, Ms Simran Sharma, wife of Naik Gajender Singh,was also honoured for her bronze medal win in the 200m Athletics event.
