“Nation First, Always” – Indian Army Paves the Way for Service and Care
Poonch:
‘Mera Gaon Phir Aana’ – A remarkable initiative by the Indian Army that highlights the significance of villages and their residents. The Indian Army, known for its unwavering commitment to the nation, has launched yet another transformative project, designed to improve the lives of people residing in remote and underserved areas.
In line with the #WeCare campaign, the Army has recently undertaken the restoration and upgrading of four gates at the Line of Control (LC) fence in Poonch. This project represents a comprehensive effort to enhance both infrastructure and essential services, reflecting the Army’s deep dedication to the welfare and well-being of the citizens, particularly those in distant regions.
The revitalized gates not only boast of upgraded infrastructure but also incorporate visually appealing structures, designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment. Special attention has been given to improving facilities for female visitors, with newly renovated washrooms that ensure better hygiene and convenience.
Recognizing the importance of offering a seamless and comfortable experience to all visitors, the initiative also includes the establishment of a well-equipped waiting area, complete with comfortable seating. Furthermore, provisions for clean and safe drinking water have been significantly increased, ensuring visitors’ needs are met with utmost care and responsibility.
One of the standout features of this project is the introduction of RFID card facilities. This technological upgrade is aimed at reducing wait times and streamlining the entry process, contributing to an efficient and hassle-free experience for everyone. This innovation not only enhances operational efficiency but also demonstrates the Army’s commitment to integrating modern solutions for the betterment of the community.
With initiatives like #WeCare, the Indian Army is reaffirming its role as more than just a defender of the nation. It is a compassionate force dedicated to improving the lives of citizens, particularly in remote and underserved areas. The renovation and enhancement of infrastructure serve as a testament to the Army’s enduring commitment to the principles of service, care, and inclusivity—values that continue to guide their efforts in nation-building.
