MLA Shangus Ang East Raises Key Issues on Sports, CAPD, and Transport in J&K Assembly

Anantnag, March 17(TKD) – MLA Shangus Ang East actively voiced concerns regarding multiple public issues in the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly, addressing critical matters related to sports infrastructure, consumer affairs, and transport services.

Key Issues Raised:

Sports Development:

  1. Urged the government to expedite the appointment orders for two KAS selections from the constituency.
  2. Highlighted the need for urgent upgrades to sports infrastructure in Seer Hamdan, Mattan, Panzmulla, Salia, Nowgam, and Krad Stadiums.
  3. Requested provision of sports kits for aspiring athletes.
  4. Stressed the importance of the Rehbar-e-Khel scheme in promoting grassroots sports.
  5. Pitched for the construction of an indoor stadium and better facilities at Anantnag Stadium.

Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD):

  • Raised concerns regarding ration card distribution, urging for streamlining the process to benefit the public effectively.

Transport Sector Improvements:

  1. Demanded the introduction of electric buses (e-buses) to improve public transport services.
  2. Called for an efficient and hassle-free license issuance process for the people of the region.

Additionally, the MLA sought clarification on Points of Information related to Thailand and the unauthorized capturing of photographs and videos during Morning Assembly.

The MLA emphasized the need for swift government action to address these concerns and ensure better facilities for the people of his constituency….(TKD)
