Sheikh SameerShangus, April 03(TKD): In a significant development for healthcare services in Shangus, Minister for Health, Medical Education, Education, and Social Welfare, Ms. Sakeena Itoo, visited Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Shangus today. The visit aimed at assessing the existing healthcare infrastructure and addressing the pressing medical concerns of the region.
She was accompanied by MLA West Ab Majeed Larmi, MLA Shangus Anantnag East Adv Reyaz Ah Khan, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Fakhruddin Hamid, Director Health Dr. Jahangir, Director School Education Dr. GN Itoo, and other senior officials.
During the visit, Ms. Sakeena Itoo assured that the Operation Theatre (OT) block at SDH Shangus will soon be made fully functional. She directed the concerned authorities to arrange trained OT staff and specialist surgeons to facilitate surgeries at the hospital, ensuring advanced medical procedures are accessible to local residents.
Furthermore, she announced that a highly equipped ambulance will be provided to SDH Shangus, enhancing emergency medical services and ensuring swift patient transportation in critical situations…(TKD)
