15th National Voters’ Day celebrated with a focus on strengthening democracy through electoral literacy and active citizen participation

Srinagar : National Voters Day is celebrated annually to promote electoral awareness and encourage active participation in the electoral process. The event, observed on January 25, 2025, across different regions, including Municipal committee Watergam Rafiabad and GHSS Muqam Handwanpora Qaziabad, emphasized the importance of voting, particularly among young and newly eligible voters. The theme for National Voters Day 2025, “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure,” aimed to inspire people to exercise their democratic rights confidently and responsibly.A key part of the celebrations was the voters’ pledge, where attendees promised to uphold democratic traditions and vote without fear or influence. In addition, BLOs (Booth Level Officers) and other officials who contributed to the smooth execution of elections were recognized with appreciation certificates for their hard work and dedication.The day highlighted not only the significance of voter registration and participation but also the collective effort required to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
