Rayat Bahra Professional University Pledges Job-Oriented Education to Boost Student Employability

SRINAGAR, Aug 21 (TKD): Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, is gearing up to provide job-oriented education aimed at enhancing the employability of students in the region. This was announced by Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of RBPU and Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group, while addressing a press conference here on Thursday.

Bahra said the university is committed to delivering quality education that equips students with the skills necessary for promising career opportunities. “Our professional courses are designed to make students employment-ready, giving them a competitive edge in the job market,” he stated.

Established in 2008, the RBPU campus is spread across 55 acres and houses over 10,000 students. It offers modern facilities such as hostels, advanced laboratories, well-stocked libraries, and sports amenities, fostering an environment of academic excellence, research, and holistic development.

The university provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Education, Law, Nursing, and various Medical Diploma and Certificate courses.

Unveiling future plans, Bahra announced that several new-age courses will soon be introduced in collaboration with leading multinational companies to further strengthen students’ employment potential. “One of our unique commitments is preparing students for jobs even before they graduate, ensuring they are well-positioned for placements,” he said.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan, along with senior university officials, was also present on the occasion.
