Manzoor Ahmad Thrives Eight Years After Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
Srinagar, February 15, 2025 – Livasa Hospitals, a NABH-accredited healthcare network, celebrated the inspiring recovery of Manzoor Ahmad, a kidney transplant recipient from Srinagar, at a press conference held at Restaurant Hat-Trick, Rajbagh. Manzoor, who underwent a life-saving kidney transplant at Livasa Hospital, Mohali, in 2019, continues to lead a healthy and fulfilling life eight years after the procedure.

In November 2018, Manzoor was admitted in critical condition due to severe kidney failure and was undergoing dialysis. His mother emerged as a perfect donor match, enabling a successful transplant in January 2019. Today, his continued well-being stands as a testament to the effectiveness of Livasa Hospitals’ advanced transplant procedures and post-surgical care.

During the press conference, Dr. Kaushal also shed light on the rising incidence of kidney disease in Kashmir, attributing it to high blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney stones. She emphasized the importance of early detection and preventive care to curb the increasing burden of renal diseases in the region.
