Missing Territorial Army Soldier from Anantnag Traced, No Terror Angle Suspected: Police

Anantnag, Feb 2: A Territorial Army (TA) soldier who had gone missing from the Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has been traced, officials confirmed on Sunday.

 

The soldier, identified as Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Abdul Gani Bhat from Kharpora Chittergul, was on a one-month leave from his unit, 162 TA, and was due to report back for duty when he went missing.

 

A police officer confirmed that Bhat has been located and assured that there is no terror-related angle in the case as of now. “The investigation into the matter has been initiated,” the officer added.
