TOLIC Srinagar Meets to Promote Hindi Language, Announces Competitions and 2024 Magazine

Srinagar, December 17 (TKD): A meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) Srinagar was held under the chairmanship of Smt. T M Sreelatha, Chief Postmaster General, Jammu & Kashmir Circle, and Chairperson of TOLIC. The session brought together Heads of Offices, officers from various Central Government Departments, and principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across Kashmir.

The Chairperson emphasized the importance of promoting the Hindi language and urged departments to encourage its usage by recognizing staff efforts with awards and certificates. She assured full support for staff training in member offices.

Key initiatives discussed included Hindi competitions such as Essay Writing, Letter Writing, and Speech Writing. It was also announced that a yearly magazine for 2024 will be released, with a voluntary Editorial Board formed to oversee its development.

Shri Prateek, Director Postal Services, highlighted the need to foster a working culture in Hindi and concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks.
