Lineman Succumbs to Injuries After Receiving Electric Shock at Soura Receiving Station

Srinagar, Jan 22: A junior lineman, who was critically injured after receiving an electric shock at the Soura Receiving Station in Srinagar last week, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura this afternoon.

Identified as 55-year-old Bilal Ahmed Shah, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah, a resident of Ahmadnagar Buchpora, tragically passed away today at SKIMS Soura.

The incident occurred on January 11 when Shah suffered an electric shock while performing his duties in the outdoor yard of the receiving station.

Despite receiving treatment at SKIMS for over ten days, Shah could not recover from the injuries sustained during the accident.

His demise has left his colleagues and loved ones in deep sorrow.

This unfortunate incident has once again brought to light the dangers faced by electrical workers and the importance of strict adherence to safety protocols in high-risk workplaces.

The local community and co-workers have expressed their grief and solidarity with Shah’s family during this difficult time.
