Jammu Health Dept Orders Probe into Gool BMO Over Harassment, Extortion Claims

Jammu, July 2 (TKD): In response to multiple complaints alleging harassment, extortion, and salary withholding, the Directorate of Health Services Jammu has constituted a high-level enquiry committee to investigate the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Gool.

According to an official order issued by Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar, the three-member panel will be led by Dr Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Deputy Director (Dentistry). The other members of the committee are Dr Kamal Jee Zadoo, Chief Medical Officer Ramban, and Shashi Paul, Assistant Accounts Officer at the Directorate.

The committee has been directed to carry out a comprehensive investigation into the serious allegations and submit its findings along with recommendations within ten days.

The decision comes amid growing concern over the alleged misconduct of the BMO, prompting the department to act swiftly in addressing the grievances raised by staff and stakeholders.
