R-Day 2025 arrangements finalized at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 18: In order to finalize arrangements for smooth celebration of forth-coming Republic Day-2025, a meeting was held today at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal here.The meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad held threadbare discussions on various arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the National function including security plan, cleanliness and sanitation, seating arrangement, traffic management, cultural programmes, refreshment, invitation, media management, etc.The ADC enquired about the status of arrangements being put in place by various departments for the successful celebration of the event.On the occasion, various committees like invitation committee, stage management committee, selection committee, seating arrangement committee, already formed were directed to complete formalities for the smooth conduct of the celebrations well before the time.The special emphasis was laid on refreshment, transportation, sanitation, installation of shamiana, stage for cultural activities and seating management.The ADC also gave specific instructions for beautification of town and media management at the venue.Police department was instructed to ensure fool-proof security arrangements at all venues where functions in this regard will be held across the district.The ADC also instructed the departments to install banners for showcasing their activities on the Republic Day.Among others, the meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, CEO, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Tehsildar Lar, officials from Jal Shakti, KPDCL, R&B and other concerned departments.
