After 6 Years Centre Ends President’s Rule In J&K, Paves It’s Way For Formation Of Omar Abdullah Led Goverment

ReSrinagar, October 14: After six years the President rule in J&K has been revoked by Centre government paving It’s way for formation of Omar Abdullah led goverment.

An order issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan, it says “In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 73 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019 (34 of 2019) read with Articles 239 and 239A of the Constitution of India, the order dated October 31, 2019, in relation to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir shall stand revoked immediately before the appointment of the chief minister under Section 54 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019,” the notification signed by President Droupadi Murmu said.

In recently held assembly elections, the National Conference emerged as single largest party.

The National Conference (NC) and the Indian National Congress (INC) alliance secured 48 seats in the recently held assembly elections. (GNS)
