Timely Results, Inclusive Reforms: Edu Minister Sakeena Itoo Directs JKBOSE to Declare 10th, 11th & 12th Results by April End

Srinagar, April 2: Education Minister Sakeena Masood Itoo chaired a high-level meeting to assess the functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), issuing firm directives to ensure the timely declaration of Class 10th, 11th, and 12th results by the end of April.

Emphasizing the importance of academic continuity, Itoo stressed that swift result processing would prevent delays in students’ transition to the next academic phase. She also reviewed JKBOSE’s operational framework, focusing on examination procedures, curriculum updates, and technological advancements.The minister urged officials to modernize the board’s infrastructure, streamline administrative processes, and integrate advanced IT solutions to enhance efficiency and accessibility in the education system.

Reaffirming her commitment to inclusive education, Itoo directed JKBOSE to strengthen support mechanisms for Children With Special Needs (CWSN). She called for intensified awareness programs and the effective implementation of special provisions, including exam fee exemptions, a 5% relaxation in pass percentages, and flexible academic policies for students with disabilities.Furthermore, she instructed the Directors of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir to collaborate closely with JKBOSE for holistic educational improvements across the region.

She emphasized the need for continuous stakeholder engagement, proactive policy measures, and student-centric reforms to elevate academic standards.During the meeting, the JKBOSE Secretary presented a comprehensive report on the board’s latest initiatives, particularly the introduction of IT-driven interventions to facilitate students.
