Surprised that Omar Abdullah changed his stance on Article 370: Waheed Para

Srinagar — People’s Democratic Party Leader and MLA Pulwama Waheed Para on Monday said that he that he is taken aback by Omar Abdullah’s recent alteration in his stance on Article 370.

Speaking to reporters, Para said that the statehood that LG has talked about, the same statehood that the Home Minister has discussed, is what Omar has also supported in his resolution.

“We hope that the National Conference, Congress, and the other independent MLAs will support this resolution brought by the three members of the PDP.

He also pointed out the contradiction in Omar Abdullah’s election promises, reminding him that “in the election, he went home and promised that if you don’t vote for us… then whatever happened against Article 370, that resolution will pass, and BJP will be successful in that.” — (KNS)
