No Need to Extend Summer Break, Say Weather Experts as Temperatures Set to Ease

Srinagar, July 6: Amid public speculation about a possible extension of the summer break due to the recent heatwave, weather experts have dismissed the need for any further delay in reopening schools, citing an expected dip in temperatures starting tomorrow.

“There is 100% certainty that temperatures will gradually decrease from tomorrow and stay comfortable for at least a week,” said a leading weather analyst. “Some days may even see below-normal temperatures.”

While high humidity levels are expected to persist until the monsoon begins to withdraw in August or September, experts emphasize that the overall weather conditions will become significantly more tolerable.

“Forecast models are in strong agreement and show high confidence in this cooling trend. We can’t expect July to behave like April or October,” the expert noted. “Temperatures around 31–32°C are typical for this time of year and should not be considered abnormal or cause for alarm.”

With schools scheduled to reopen soon, the expert advice suggests that there is no meteorological justification for extending the summer vacation, and that educational institutions can resume operations as planned under safe and manageable conditions.
