Landslides at Multiple Places; Jammu-Srinagar NH Closed for 5th Straight Day

Jammu, Aug 30 (KNC): The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) remains closed for the fifth consecutive day following persistent heavy rains and mudslides at multiple places.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the road is blocked at multiple locations, including a major mudslide at Samruli.

Both sides of the highway are currently closed, and no traffic movement is possible today, official said.

Authorities are working to clear the blockages, but the ongoing mudslides and difficult weather conditions are hampering the restoration efforts.
