NLP Marks First Anniversary in J&K, Sets Sights on Assembly Elections

Party Leaders Discuss Achievements, Future Plans

Srinagar: The National Loktantrik Party (NLP) celebrated its first anniversary in Jammu and Kashmir with a special meeting held on August 18 at the party office in Khayam, Srinagar. The event brought together key party leaders to review the past year’s accomplishments and chart a course for future endeavors.

Central Kashmir Incharge Muhammad Yakub Dunoo presided over the meeting, which was attended by prominent party members including North Kashmir Incharge Mushtaq Ahmed, Assembly Election Incharge Lucky Ali, Chief Spokesperson Barkat Kour, and others.

During the gathering, leaders engaged in in-depth discussions about the party’s performance in the recent parliamentary elections and formulated strategies for upcoming campaigns. A particular emphasis was placed on expanding the party’s reach and effectively communicating its manifesto to the people.

In his address, Muhammad Yakub Dunoo highlighted the party’s manifesto and expressed his gratitude to all the leaders and workers present. He acknowledged the progress made over the past year and emphasized the importance of unity and dedication as the party moves forward.

On the sidelines of the program, Chief Spokesperson Barkat Kour shared her thoughts on the party’s first anniversary. She noted that the NLP had worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people and received positive feedback during the parliamentary elections. Looking ahead to the upcoming assembly elections, Kour announced that she, along with Yakub Dunoo and other leaders, would be contesting the elections with a focus on development and restoring the state’s identity and statehood.

“Our goal is to address the genuine grievances of the public on a priority basis,” Kour stated. “We are committed to working for the youth and ensuring that people of all communities—Sikhs, Muslims, and Hindus—live together in harmony. I invite everyone with the capability and dedication to join our party, as we are ready to serve our people and give them the mandate they deserve.”
