Dubai, UAE: In a landmark literary and cultural event, the debut book of renowned Kashmiri journalist Rameez Makhdoomi was unveiled at the Zee Gulf Green Summit and Awards 2025, hosted by WeTel World in association with Zee Media.
The book, titled “Ayesha Zaki – A Life in Poetic Fragrance,” chronicles the inspiring journey of Dubai-based filmmaker Ayesha Zaki, widely celebrated as the OTT Queen for her globally streamed short films.
The launch was graced by eminent personalities including His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi (Chairman of Sharjah Consultative Council and former UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment), Bollywood actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, Arman Khan (Director, WeTel Group), Tarique Faridy (Editor/Channel Head, Zee Media Corporation Limited), Professor Adil Matin (President, WeTel Sustainability), and Ayesha Zaki herself, the pioneering Indian woman filmmaker based in the UAE.
Ayesha Zaki, owner of Tinsel Town Films, has earned acclaim as the first Indian woman filmmaker in the UAE with her productions streaming on Dish TV, Cable & Satellite, and multiple OTT platforms worldwide.
This book marks the first literary venture of Rameez Makhdoomi, who has previously written extensively on Zaki’s career and achievements, celebrating her as a cultural trailblazer.
