Gunfight Erupts in Kupwara as Security Forces Engage Terrorists

Srinagar, Mar 17: A fierce encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

A senior police official told Media that based on specific intelligence about terrorist presence in Krumbhoora, Zachaldara Rajwar, a joint team of security forces launched a search operation.

As the forces closed in, the hiding terrorists opened fire, triggering a gunfight. Reports suggest that two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped.
