Anantnag Police Seize ₹2 Crore Property in Narco-Terror Case in Jammu

In a significant move against narco-terror networks, Anantnag Police have attached an immovable property in Jammu valued at approximately ₹2 crores. The action is part of an ongoing crackdown on individuals and assets linked to unlawful and anti-national activities.

The attached property is a double-storied residential house on a 1,501 sq. ft. plot located in Tawi Vihar, Sidra, Jammu. The property is registered under the name of Firdous Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Hugam Srigufwara, who is an accused in the case.

The attachment was carried out under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and is connected to a case registered at Police Station Mattan (FIR No. 57/2024). The case involves multiple serious charges, including violations of the Indian Arms Act, the Explosive Substances Act, and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).

Police officials emphasized their commitment to maintaining peace and upholding the rule of law through such sustained enforcement actions. This move highlights the authorities’ focus on disrupting the financial infrastructure that supports such illicit networks.
